How you get paid

   Drop original work under your name. We review samples to qualify you.

   GKZiD accepts or rejects each piece. Accepted work is what makes the cut.

4. 04 Get paid

   Accepted files hit the pay log. Assignments and event access come as you qualify.

The deal

Once you want in, here’s how we work.

• You cover amateur sports in your market — club, youth, high school, college club, and local events GKZiD is in.
• You drop original work under your name and email. Not an athlete account. Not MeDia Locker.
• GKZiD accepts or rejects each piece. Accepted work is what gets paid. Rejected files pay $0.
• The drop box is for samples. Sample drops help us qualify you. They are not a paid order.
• Paid work needs the creator packet (terms, media rights, agreement) once that packet is live. Until then, assignments are written case by case.

Who can join

The best creators are other athletes. Photographers, videographers, interviewers, and social creators who can work a sideline, finish line, or gym without getting in the way.

• Athletes first. The best creators are other athletes covering their sport.
• Use your own email and phone. We do not issue @gkzid.com addresses to creators.
• You must be able to license the work you submit. If someone else owns it, don’t drop it.
• Southeast first (FL, GA, AL, SC, NC, TN, MS, LA). Other states: tell us — we still want the application.
• If you are under 18, a parent or guardian has to be on the application with you. We will not pay a minor directly without that.

What to shoot

• Action that names the athlete. Faces, bibs, numbers, uniforms — we have to be able to get the clip to the right locker.
• Sports first. Warmup, competition, finish, handshake, sideline emotion. That’s the product.
• Interviews: name, school/club, what just happened. Clean audio. Keep it short.
• Social cuts: 15–45 seconds, vertical or 16:9, one story. No 12-minute dumps.
• Tell us the event, city, date, and sport in the file name or in your drop note / application sports field.

Quality bar — we will reject

• Blurry, underexposed, or so shaky the play can’t be seen
• Photos under ~1600px on the long side; video under 720p
• Heavy watermarks, other-company logos, or someone else’s edit
• Duplicates, screenshots, or screen recordings of a broadcast
• Files we cannot ID (no face, no number, no context)
• Music you don’t have the right to use (we’ll mute or reject)

Deliver stills as JPG/WEBP. Video as MP4 (H.264). One clip, one story. Max 100 MB per drop-box file.

At the event

• You are a guest of the venue. Follow staff, officials, and any credential rules. If they say move, you move.
• Do not block athletes, coaches, or spectators. Do not walk onto a live course or field.
• No flash in faces during competition if the sport or venue forbids it.
• Introduce yourself if asked. “GKZiD CC Network” is the lane — you are not press for another outlet while on our assignment.
• If an event director says no cameras, stop and tell us. Don’t argue it out on the infield.

Youth & respect

Most of this platform is minors in sport. That is not optional culture — it is the job.

• No locker rooms, bathrooms, changing areas, hotel rooms, or private spaces.
• No sexualized framing. Ever. Competition and sport emotion only.
• No close-ups of injured athletes in distress for “content.”
• No bullying, fighting, or pile-on clips. If a fight breaks out, stop recording and step back.
• Do not post a minor’s personal contact info, address, or school-dismissal detail.
• If a parent or official asks you to delete a specific frame, stop and flag it to GKZiD.

Rights — short version

• Samples: dropping a file lets GKZiD review it for qualifying. That is not a paid license.
• Accepted work: you grant GKZiD a license to use it on GKZiD, MeDia Locker delivery, Reel, social, event partners, and related media. We may crop, score, and pair it with athlete identity tools.
• You keep copyright. We need the license to run the product. Credit is given when the layout allows.
• The full creator packet (Karen / legal) still governs paid uploads when that packet is signed. If a written assignment rate differs from this page, the written assignment wins.

Starter pay scale

USD. Paid only on files GKZiD accepts. Sample drop-box files are not an order and are not paid. Featured events may pay more if we send a written assignment.

Assigned coverage — pre-approved

Only when GKZiD asks you to take an event. Do not assume walk-up coverage is assigned.

How payouts work

• We review, then accept or reject. Only accepts hit the pay log.
• Target payout: monthly for accepted work from the prior period.
• After we Keep a clip, you get a Creator login (same email). Add Zelle or Cash App on the payout page. First payouts can also be sent directly by GKZiD while you set that up.
• No accept → no pay. No packet (when it is required) → no paid upload.
• Questions on a rate: email benny@gkzid.com — Benny forwards money questions to our support team. Do not argue rates with athletes or event staff.
